Driven by God('s Man)

The pope's mobile has been bought. Sold for 188,000 Euros on eBay-Germany, the pope's old car (a Volkswagen Golf) was hotly sought-after.

Here's the odd description the car got in broken English on eBay (Click here to see the ad):

"The car looks as if it was new due to the care it god."

It's been a strange week. I heard tell of a hairdresser who suggested they don't design hair, but the Divine works magic through them. And now the Almighty's taken an interest in car maintenance, too. Shit, Martha Stewart might have competition, man.

[PS: I'm trying to be good. I'm trying not to point out the hilarious irony of the fact that just a couple years after the Church finally apologizes for its complacency during Nazi Germany's spate of Jew-killing, the Church chooses a German pope who not only was in the Hitler Youth, but who drove Hitler's favourite car, the Volkswagen. Yeah, bet the Jewish folk are thrilled. Boy, they're sure listening to the marketing department over there in the Vatican, eh?]
